Executive summary
We have been contacted by the South-West England tourism department with the view of underlying some USP about the creation of their e-tourism web site. At the same time, they have asked us to check if there is a demand and to characterize their expectations. All of this information should help the company in its MR budget estimation.
Introduction
This report will look at: The net surfer’s consumption habitsTheir expectations about e-tourism
Findings
Ø A lot of people have access to the Internet and it is clear that the Internet is a substantial tool for research purposes. 85% of the people questioned have already bought something on the Internet. People have no fear. Nevertheless it’s more beneficial to use security payment facilities instead of pay pal. Most of your clients need a guarantee and security. ..,68.4 % of them have already bought travel tickets on the Internet. With this data we can confirm that there is a substantial e-tourism market. Moreover the purchase frequency is high (3-7 per year).
Ø It is very important to categorize on a research engine. Due to the cost of it, we have tried to find the most used research engine. We found that Google is the most popular research engine and we think it is necessary to be listed on this website. This type of ad, even if it’s quite expensive, will increase the number of visitors and you will be able to reach your targets and widen your market.
Ø The choice of the key word is important aswell. When we ask people about the words which they use when they research travel, the 3 frequently used words are: low cost, travel, holidays.So you have to use these key words on your website, moreover the town names should be a priority for instance:
Bournemouth,
Poole,….
Ø On the net, it’s a bonus to have a famous partnership, and so we have looked to see which e-tourism web sites are the most popular. We suggest that you create a partnership with these companies. If they add links on their website it will improve your notoriety. They will recommend your website to their clients. The most popular e-tourism website are : easyjet, sncf, tomas cook, air

Ø About the features of your website, customers are sensitive: - First to the price. You are supposed to be more competitive, to propose special price offers- Second, the quality, in this term we make reference to the security payment, the quality of the information, the clarity of the website, the quality of the travel ( hotel, …) all of this quality criteria will improve your brand recognition and image- Then, the service is important too, for example hotline and after sale service - The choice of the destination is not the most important, but you should not neglect this parameter
Conclusion
You have a substantial market. In this survey we have given you the USP and we have offered a solution for becoming well known in the South West of England E-tourism

-I have noticed two reasons : 1./ To conserv and develope your market shares 2./ To create an attractive tourist offer -The material and financial conditions : You need some basic tools, for instance : a schedule of conditions, you have to collect the information, to be accessible for your target and you have to develope facilitator services. The Reunion which is a Dom Tom of France, has noticed that the e-tourism will create a lot opportunity for their Island. That is why they have developed a marketing plan. First I would like explain their reports, and in an other post I will explain their marketing policy. In France they have 900 Million net surfers, 220 of them have already buy on the network. 120 million of European prepare their travel on line 80% have prepared their travel with using Internet 70% of the airlines companie sold their tickets online, the e-ticking represents between 60% and 80% of their total sale. For the SNCF (train company) the e-ticking represent 22% of it sale A substantial market : About 51 million of visitor per months in google , 11 in Yahoo and 7 in Wanadoo. Lastminute offers 1700 different kind of travels and has had 100,000 clients in 2005. The reasearch marketing group who is in charge of the project has noticed that the request are alwlays the same : tourism, country, town These 3 words refers to transport,produces, lodging, sun and brand

who reserve its holliday on internet? Who are them? It ‘ s necessary for the companies to know the uses of their consumers, their believes and their motivations. What are they looking for? What are their criterion? In 2004 the travel reservation on line have increased of 50% According to an analysis ,55% of the Net surfers reserve their hollidays on internet. 80% of them have found their travel agency with research websites. Nowadays, being repertoried in website is not efficient. In this market the competition is hard and the market is heterogeneous. That is why, in this context, companies have to find USP which could allow them legitimity. According to specialist, one of the USP is the quality of the website and the on line services. This benefit is substancial for the developement and the futur of the company. With the view of having the best webite, companies have to analyse what are the best mecanism for helping the net surfers in their choices ? How improving the relationship between the company and the clients? What are the key figure in the e-tourism?
